Graphite on paper. I used a reference image thinking it was a photo of a real statue, but turns out that the original images was AI-generated with Firefly (search for “Medusa Gorgo” by Crazy Dark Queen). Oops! I feel good about the eyes and nose. Mouth is close, but not perfect. I drew this on a 4″x4″ tile, which I enjoyed. Smaller paper is much less intimidating, as are statues (vs. real people).
